CORO Vocal Artists Season 2009-2010

Lenten Concerts

The CORO Vocal Artists, an emerging chamber vocal ensemble, announces their forthcoming concerts for the 2009-2010 season: I Am With Thee and Crucifixion.  The first concert, I Am With Thee, showcases the ensemble’s ten voices including works by Palestrina, Josquin Des Prez, Thomas Tallis, Roberto Camaaño, and Kenneth Jennings. Following I Am With Thee comes our second concert, Crucifixion, which combines the CORO Vocal Artists with the Sacred Music Institute’s Choral Scholars to present works by Josquin Des Prez, Antonio Lotti, Pablo Casals, and Knut Nystedt, among others. The concerts take the artists and audience on a Lenten journey exploring the individual and communal search for God as well as the crucifixion.
