Registration for our High School Choral Institute will soon be open!
The High School Choral Institute will include rehearsals and class sessions each week to strengthen students musical skills in ear training, sight-singing, vocal techniques, and music theory. The ensemble will also perform concerts with the CORO Vocal Artists and participate in recording sessions of new choral repertoire. Students are also able to take individual voice lessons from our staff. Registration for the institute will be open soon as well as additional information about the schedule and tuition rates for the 2016-2017 academic year.
CORO’s Choral Institute begins September 12, 2016!
CORO will open the doors of its choral institute September 12, 2016. The institute will offer choral education for high school students on a weekly basis as well as additional weekend sessions for educators in order to provide additional professional development.
Additional Programs
Professional Development opportunities for educators will be available throughout the year on an as-needed basis. If you or your school system would like to organize a professional development day, please contact us. Reading Sessions, discussions on score reading, and conducting and rehearsal technique classes are some of the options available.
A unique three-summer MM in Choral Conducting
CORO is currently working on an innovative approach to earning the master degree in choral conducting which will allow the opportunity for students to take courses in choral literature, rehearsal techniques, score study, music history, and music theory, all while having substantial amounts of podium time with both the Institute choir and the CORO Vocal Artists.
